As Beverly departs from this earthly realm, her essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though Beverly may no longer walk beside us, her spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy Beverly leaves behind.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Thomas Buckingham and Edna Buckingham (Jackson); her husband John Lester; her sons, James and Steven; her daughter-in-law Becky Lester; and her sister Betty Spinka.
She is survived by: her children, Linda S. Wilburn and Dean W. Lester (Ann) of Sterling; and her sister Shirley M. Sharp Jr. (Roy) of Sterling. She is also survived by eight grandchildren; sixteen great grandchildren and six great great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, May 30th 2026 from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM at the McDonald Funeral Home (505 1st Ave, Sterling, IL 61081). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, May 30th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
