Carol A. Banas Obituary
We are sad to announce that on January 24, 2026, at the age of 81, Carol A. Banas of Sterling, Illinois passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Larry Banas; her daughter Elizabeth Gazzolo; her sister Diane Fahey; and her parents, Arnold Haig and Barbara Haig.
She is survived by: her children, Ryan Hager (Michelle), Thomas Hager (Kathy) and Kristin Deyle; her sisters, Judi Weigle and Patricia Balayti (Bob); and her son-in-law Frank Gazzolo. She is also survived by ten grandchildren, two great grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Sacred Heart Catholic Church or the Sterling Family Moose in Sterling, IL.
