It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Florence Pfundstein (Sterling, Illinois), who passed away on October 28, 2023, at the age of 98, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, John Henry and Elizabeth Stern (Duden); her husband Don Pfundstein; her brother Johnnie Stern; her brothers-in-law, Ray Purvis, Allan Beyer and Lloyd Miller; and her daughter-in-law Pamela Pfundstein (Peterson).

She is survived by: her extended family German; her children, Dale Pfundstein and Shirley Turnbaugh (Greg); her grandchildren, Codee Miller (Lyle), Tammy King (Jason), Emily Pratt (Peter), Holly Turnbaugh, Jared Turnbaugh (Shelley) and Cliff Pfundstein (Katie); her great grandchildren, Austin, Alyssa Miller, Madyson, Landon, Lillian King, Charley, Miles Turnbaugh, Elinor, Declan, Archer Pratt, Amelia and Fiona Pfundstein; her sisters, June Purvis and Lucille Beyer; and her sister-in-law Dianne Stern Miller.

A memorial has been established to ST. Paul Lutheran Church, Relay for Life, and Rock River Hospice & Home.
