With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Gerald F. Whitmore of Sterling, Illinois, born in Dixon, Illinois, who passed away on October 9, 2023 at the age of 82. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Whitmore and Cecelia Whitmore (Kent); his wife Peggy Willis; and his granddaughter Jennifer Jay. He is survived by: his children, Nancy Standard (Harold Dodd) of Rock Falls, Kimberly Cook (Roger) of Milledgeville, Susan Lins (John) of Jacksonville, FL, Jerry Whitmore (Theresa) of Freeport and Patrick Whitmore of Bloomington; and his grandchildren, Jeremy, Justin, Anthony, Destiny, Christina, Jaryd, Aireal, Misty, Jessie and John, Jr.. He is also survived by eighteen great grandchildren.
