He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence Browning and Anna Browning; his former spouse Lyda Bishop; his children, Regina Jarvis, Harlen L. Browning Jr., Steven C. Browning and Christopher Browning; his grandchild DJ Browning; and his brother Samuel L. Fitzpatrick.
He is survived by: his wife Pansy Browning of Sterling; his children, Barbara Patterson (Eric) of Paducah, KY, Johnna Kendall (Shondale) of Metropolis, IL, Angela O'barr of Joliet and Jimmy Lee O'barr of Rockford; his brother Richard Crim (Veronica) of Joliet; and his daughters-in-law, Isabel Browning of Aurora, Laura Browning of Montgomery, IL and Katie Browning of Milwaukee, WI. He is also survived by many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers memorials have been established to Rock Falls United Methodist Church.
