She was predeceased by: her parents, John A. Cassens and Gertrude A. Cassens (Strauch); her husband Robert Hampton; her siblings, Harriet Cassens and John "Jack" E. H. Cassens; her stepdaughter Sharon Kennedy; and her nephew Dr. Brett Cassens.
She is survived by: her pet Sachi; her daughter Lisa Hampton of Prospect Heights; her stepdaughter Sandra Hope (Terry) of Festus, MO; her sons, Steve Hampton (Kenne) of Rock Falls and G. Bruce Hampton of Sterling; her grandchildren, Steve Hampton II and Nena Scheidecker (Brandon); her niece Laurel Myers (Tom) of Rock Falls; her nephew Gary Cassens (Patti Kieffer) of Sterling; and her great-nephew Craig Mayer of Edwards, IL.. She is also survived by four great grandchildren; three great great grandchildren.
