He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Gene Book (Nancy Book) and Lucille Book; his wife Cheri Neahring of Sterling; his children, Nichole Russell (Max) and Adam Book; his grandchildren, Bethany, Elijah, Josiah and Noah Russell; and his siblings, Joel Book (Beverly), Julie Hickey (John), Lori Downie (Joel) and Kelly Ryan (John). He was also cherished by nieces and nephews.
He was recognized for his contributions to breeding and raising Simmental cattle and hosted nine successful Herdbuilder Simmental Production Sales.
