Laurel leaves behind cherished memories for friends, family, and all who had the privilege of knowing her. Laurel’s life was marked by connections and experiences that touched those around her. Though she is no longer with us, the moments shared, the laughter, and the support she offered will continue to resonate. All who knew Laurel will carry forward her memory in their hearts.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Arthur Zemke and Bernice Zemke (Schoaf); her brother Harvey Zemke; and her siblings-in-law, Sue Zemke (Kenneth) and Don Marlatt (Sandy).
She is survived by: her children, Cassi Johnson (Chris) of Rock Falls, Whitney Hughes (Davie) of Sterling, Brian Haan (Erin) of Davenport, IA and Darren Haan (Brandi) of Dixon; and her siblings, Sandy Marlatt of Ottawa, IL, Kenneth Zemke of Rock Falls and Steve Zemke (Sue) of Rock Falls. She is also survived by nine grandchildren and one great grandchild.
