He was predeceased by: his parents, John Magana and Petra Magana; his former wife Rachel Martinez; his son Anthony "Tony" Magana; his daughter-in-law Karen Magana; and his siblings, Jesse, Pablo, John, Antonia, Josephine, Robert (Bob), Hank (Henry) and Mary.
He is survived by: his wife Martha Montanez; and his children, Alex Magana of Morrison, Lydia Schaefer (LeRoy) of Rock Falls, Joe Magana of Sterling, Pete Magana (Penny) of Belleville, Chris Byvick (Rob) of Sterling, Chuck Magana (Cari) of Sterling and Michelle Magana of Rock Falls. He is also survived by many grandchildren and greatgrandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established to Rock River Hospice and Home.
