He is survived by: his significant other Stan Shippert; his son Mark Reed (Ann) of New Hampshire; his grandsons, Nathan Reed, Michael Reed (Amanda) and Joshua Reed (Kylie); his great grandchildren, Case, Barrett, Ellerie and Luciana; his brother Donnie Reed (Bonnie); his nephew Christopher; and his niece Nicole.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 28th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Thursday, October 29th 2026 at 10:00 AM. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 29th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Wesley United Methodist Church (2200 16th Ave, Sterling, IL 61081).
