He was predeceased by: his mother Ann Hermes (McGinn); and his grandparents, Martin, Janet McGinn, Hugh and Elizabeth Hermes.
He is survived by: his siblings, Stephen Hermes (Kim), Michael Hermes, Mary Hermes, Rachel Hermes (Karl Putz) and Frances Hermes; his nephews, Ignatius Hermes, Basil Hermes and Murphy Putz; and his niece Meadow Putz. He is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
