He is survived by: his wife Alice DeLeon; his children, Rose Strickland (James) of Muscatine, IA, Mauro Jr. (Kerrie) of Sterling, Adrian (Peggy) of Danville, IL, Larry (Dawn) of Crystal Lake, IL, John (Karen) of Sherman, IL, Bernie of Palatine, IL and Steve (Dawn) of Sterling; his grandchildren, Mario, Cyndi, Jimmy, Matt, Steven Paul, Amanda, Sara, Allison, Anna, Paul, Emily, Olivia and Jacob; and his great grandchildren, Morgan, Madelin, Haleigh, Benjamin, Teddy, Alex, Lilah, Levi and Walker.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to St. Mary Catholic Church in Sterling, or the St. Vincent de Paul Society.
