He is survived by: his wife Nora Chavira of Rock Falls; his children, Marisa Garcia (Gonzalo), Miguel Rodriguez, Jr. (Christina) of Rock Falls and Daniel Rodriguez (Lindsay) of Rock Falls; his siblings, Guadalupe Gaytan (Beto) of Durango, Mexico, Concepcion Bandera (Antelmo) of Durango, Mexico, Antonia Cabada (Alfredo) of Durango, Mexico, Jose Rodriguez (Rita Hererra) of Nebraska, Rafael Rodriguez (Camerina) of Amarillo, TX and Jesus Rodriguez of Amarillo, TX; and his grandchildren, Yasmine Guerrero, Julian Guerrero, Fabian Guerrero, Noah Rodriguez, Memphis Rodriguez, Monroe Rodriguez, Isabella Garcia and Leo Garcia.

In lieu of flowers a memorial has been established to St. Jude's Childrens Hospital.
