She was predeceased by: her parents, Orville Moffitt and Grace Moffitt (McKinney); her husband Lawrence Hemminger; and her brothers, Lexi, Wayne, Ronald and Marshall.

She is survived by: her sons, John Stites (Rita) of Rock Falls, Jim Stites of Rock Falls, Rick Stites of Rock Falls and Randy Stites (Stephanie) of Kansas City, KS; and her grandchildren, Trish, Ashley, Bobby and Cory. She is also survived by two great grandchildren; three great great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
