He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Sutkay and Thelma Sutkay; his wife Marilyn Jean Lee; his son Robert Lee Sutkay; his brother Ronald Sutkay; and his close friend Charlotte Dumbauld.
He is survived by: his brothers, Joseph Sutkay of Greenbush, MI and John Sutkay of Grand Prairie, TX.; and his children, Susan Lamberson (Tom) of Verona, WI, Julie Desidero (Steve) of Pewaukee, WI, Dale Sutkay (Diane) of Sterling, IL, David Sutkay (Alice) of Roscoe, IL and Steven Sutkay (Colleen) of Yorkville, IL. He is also survived by 24 grandchildren, and 26 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 2nd 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Schilling Funeral Home (702 1st Ave, Sterling, IL 61081). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 3rd 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Friday, October 3rd 2025 from 11:15 AM to 11:30 AM at the Oak Knoll Memorial Park (18268 Pennington Rd, Sterling, IL 61081).
A memorial has been established to the First Presbyterian Church of Sterling and the Salvation Army.
