She was predeceased by: her parents, Arthur Meinen and Hertha Meinen (Gerdes); her son Rodney Jacobs; and her siblings, Dieter Meinen and Ella Draper.

She is survived by: her husband Roger Jacobs; her daughters, Debra Edwards (Barry) of SanTan Valley, AZ and Sharon Taylor (Mark) of Sterling; her sister Mary Ann Heppel of Sterling; her grandchildren, Geoffrey Davis, Travis Davis, Melissa Mathes (Scott), Matthew Taylor (Colleen Steffens) of Dixon and James Taylor of Sterling; and her great grandchildren, Madelynn Taylor Steffens, Ethan Mathes, Benjamin Mathes, Jack Taylor and Henry Mathes. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Wesley United Methodist Church in Sterling or to Rock River Hospice and Home in Sterling.
