Thomas Nile Hager Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Thomas Nile Hager of Sterling, Illinois, who passed away on June 26, 2023, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl Hager and Agnes Hager; his daughter Elizabeth "Beth" Gazzolo; and his siblings, Bill Hager, Sue Percycoe, Connie Short and Carol Nicklaus.

He is survived by: his children, Tom Hager (Kathy), Kristin Deyle and Ryan Hager (Michelle); his son-in-law Frank Gazzolo; his siblings, Dolores Ferguson, Jeff Hager, Joy Near (Steve) and Kevin Hager; and his grandchildren, Frankie Gazzolo, Ella Gazzolo, Finley Gazzolo, Jadyn Deyle, Thomas Nile Jr., Mary Kathryn Hager and Jake Hager (Rylee Hager). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given in his memory to the Sterling High School Boosters.
