Thomas L. Schattke Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Thomas L. Schattke of Sterling, Illinois, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on May 8, 2026 at the age of 87. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though Thomas may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Thomas touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In his absence, his spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Karl Schattke and Dotty Schattke (Henniges); and his brothers, Karl Schattke and Rudolph Schattke. He is survived by: his children, Carl Schattke (Dawn), Arthur Schattke (Melissa), Nathan Schattke, Jonathan Schattke (Laura), Nora Parkman (Richard), Elise Wilson (Dwayne) and Cindy Bitterman (Dustin). He is also survived by 17 grandchildren, and 16 great-grandchildren.
