He was predeceased by: his father Norman Day. He is survived by: his mother Linda Day (Bonner) of Rock Falls; his children, Shasta Day (Damien Martin) of Prophetstown and Shannon Day (Ashley Fenton) of Sterling; his sisters, Kelly Meyer (Doug) of Placida, Fla. and Lori Fagan of Rock Falls; and his grandchildren, Eli, Brooklynn Day and Cora Kemp.
In lieu of flowers a memorial has been established to the University of Iowa Multiple Myeloma Program.
