He was predeceased by: his parents, Samuel Bivins and Lelah Bivins (Blue); his wife Ruth Merrill; and his siblings, Oka Mae Dasenbrock, Deloris Kuhns, Kay Blythe, Carol Lou Blythe, Emma Temple, Ralph Bivins, Charles Bivins and Ivan Bivins.
He is survived by: his children, Rose, Pat (Rollin), Buck (Angie), Kenny, Les (Sis), Rick (Corina), Orville (Jan) and Linda (Aven); and his brother Sam Bivins Jr.. He is also survived by many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
