He was predeceased by: his parents, Donald Tanner and Opal Tanner (Coble); his wife Eileen Moran; his brother Harold Tanner; and his brother-in-law Cliff Nugent.
He is survived by: his daughters, Sheryl Bartels of Effingham, Linda Tanner of Drumright, OK and Sandra Kuhn (Ken) of Effingham; his granddaughters, Miranda Vortman (Adam) of Bluffs and Jennifer Sporleder (Scott) of Farina; his great grandchildren, Leighton, Lillian, Trenton Sporleder, Blake and Connor Vortman; his sister Ruth Nugent of Mesa, Arizona; and his sister-in-law Janet Moran of Omaha, Nebraska. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews.
Memorial donations may be made to the Stewardson United Methodist Church, Stewardson American Legion Post #611, or the Stewardson Lion's Club.
