She was predeceased by: her parents, John Riemer and Bessie Riemer (Kuhnke); her stepfather Leon Mickle (Clark); her children, Dale and Sally Jo; her children-in-law, Chuck Scace and Doris Strong; and her siblings, Verla and Delbert.

She is survived by: her husband Clark Strong; her children, Gloria Scace of Lena, IL, Alan (Charlotte), Gary Strong (Lori) of Shannon, IL, Donna Dahmen (Tom) of Monroe, WI, Gordon Strong of Harper, IL, Tim Strong (Rosemary) of Stockton, IL and Leon Strong (Darliene) of Lena, IL; and her sister Evelyn Reifsteck of Freeport, IL.. She is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

A memorial has been established in her name.
