She was predeceased by: her husband William Carlson (Bill); and her parents, Walter Barbeau and Victoria Barbeau (Jablonski). She is survived by: her siblings, William, Eugene (Sue), Edward Barbeau (Marianne), Lois Sims (John) and Delores Barbeau; her children, Cathy Solway (Doug) and Robert Carlson; her grandchildren, Megan Rizza (Bryan), Kristen Walters (Frank Fragassi), Erin Walters, Jennifer Acker (Brandon), Christopher (Breanna Trienen), Andrew and George Carlson; and her great grandchildren, Emma, Hanna, Jayce, Nora and Scotty Sue.

In lieu of flowers, a donation in Caroline's name to the Journeycare Barrington – Hospice Care Center.
