He was predeceased by: his grandson Owen; his siblings, Jackie Sapp (Leonard), Sharon Dilmore (late Terry) and Phillip Bell; his parents, Charles Burd and Wilma Hill; and his father-in-law Elmer Eigenhauser.

He is survived by: his wife Sabrina Burd; his children, Matthew Eigenhauser (Talisa), Challen Eigenhauser (Sean Suwalski), Tyler Burd (Katye) and Spencer Burd (Lindsay Hoffman); his grandchildren, Anabelle and Myles; his siblings, Charles Burd Jr. (late Judith) and Bonnie Seifert (Edward); his siblings-in-law, Don Nhau, Todd Eigenhauser (Rae), Eric Eigenhauser, Phillip Eigenhauser and Rachel Eigenhauser (Eric Diaz); and his mother-in-law Carol Eigenhauser. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
