He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Sloan and Vivian Sloan (Fisher); his wife Josephine A. Bednar of Stephen's Church; his children, Gloria Mueller and Mark Sloan; and his siblings, Neva, Paul, Fay, Frances, Vivian, Alice, Charles, Donald and Dale.
He is survived by: his daughters, Jane Wagner of Streator and Judy Vanderschaaf (Lee) of Clinton, Mississippi; his grandsons, Brian Vanderschaaf (Neva) of Republic and Curtis Vanderschaaf of Raymond, Mississippi; his great grandchild Nicholas Vanderschaaf; and his stepgreat-grandchildren, Kevin and Jessica Ford.
Memorials may be directed St. Michael the Archangel Church.
