He is survived by: his wife Elsie Smith of Streator; his children, Patty Sue Ross (Randy) of Streator, Christine Hays of Streator and Daniel A. Smith III of Streator; and his grandchildren, Andrew Ross (Kabri) of Streator, Michelle Ross of Streator, Matthew Ross of Streator, Michael Hays of Streator, Angela Hays of Streator and Amanda Hays of Streator. He is also survived by 2 great granddaughters; several nieces and nephews.
