He was predeceased by: his parents, William Morstatter and Frances Morstatter (Powell); his daughter Deanna; and his siblings, Donald, William, Patricia and Barbara.
He is survived by: his sons, Gerald Morstatter (Gale) of Streator and Doug Morstatter of Streator; his granddaughters, Abigale Holcomb (Michael) and Hannah Antrim (Chad); and his great grandchildren, Grace, Zachary, Maxwell and Tyler.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, September 27th 2026 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Winterrowd-Hagi Funeral Home (305 S Park St, Streator, IL 61364). A funeral service will be held on Sunday, September 27th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the same location.
Memorials may be made to either the First Church of the Nazarene or the family of Howard Morstatter.
