He was predeceased by: his parents, Ike Barnes and Beatrice Barnes; his daughter Kathy Waller (Dennis); and his grandsons, Ricky Anderson and Dustin Hallam.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Barnes (Libby); and his children, Dana Shipley of Streator, Debra Barnes Hallam of Streator, Angel Barnes of Streator, Teri Probst of Fort Meyers, Dale Shipley (Tina) and James "Pete" Barnes (Debbie) of Stillwater, Oklahoma.. He is also survived by 19 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren who loved their Papa.
A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, October 25th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at 122 N Park St, Streator, IL 61364.
