He was predeceased by: his parents, Elwin Hombaker and Frances Hombaker (Allison); his siblings, Anita Ross, William, Jack Hombaker, Robert Meyer and Laura Allison; his stepfather Carl Meyer; and his son-in-law Kent Haar.
He is survived by: his wife Shirley Hombaker of Streator; his children, Jim Hombaker (Theresa) of Streator, Suzette Haar of Virginia and Christine Wildhaber (Colton) of Streator; his grandchildren, Jeremy Richard (Tara), Andrew Richard (Jacklyn), Ashley Johnson (Chris), David Hombaker, Jennifer Wildhaber (Trevor Elias), Lauren Schreiber (Brett) and Lindsey Gensler (Casper); and his siblings, Paul Meyer (Sandra) of Florida, Kenneth Hombaker of Florida and Helen Harsted of Streator. He is also survived by 11 great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews.
