With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Joan Thorp of Streator, Illinois, who passed away on July 10, 2025 at the age of 87. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Joan Thorp to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Wayne Thorp and June Thorp (Shepard); her half-sister Sally Sue Thorp; her sister-in-law Elsie Thorp; and her niece Robin.
She is survived by: her brothers, Larry Thorp of Ancona, Randy Thorp (Patti) of Streator, Ed Thorp of Montgomery and Nick Sereg of Streator; her siblings' children, Kim Smith (Bob) of Ancona, Jeremy and Bradley Thorp of Jacksonville; her great-niece Michaela Smith of Ancona; and her cousins, Camilla Farrell of Grand Ridge and Sheila Bernard of Toluca.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, July 19th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Solon-Telford Funeral Home (301 S Park St, Streator, IL 61364). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, July 19th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
Memorials may be directed to the charity of the donor's choice.
