She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Schmidt and Lucille Schmidt (Svetz); her husband Carl G. Barton; her son Jeffery Barton; her brothers, Michael Schmidt and Charles; and her great grandchild Petey Limberg.

She is survived by: her daughters, Beth Walker (Jeremy) of Streator and Mary Kay Solon (Tom) of Omaha, Nebraska; her grandchildren, Carrie Walker of Streator, Katie Limberg (Charles) of Streator, Justine Walker of Streator, Eric Barton (Jen Hayes) of Streator, Michael Solon of Los Angeles and Forrest Solon of Omaha, Nebraska; her great grandchildren, Tristen Dennis, Rhett Limberg, Lane Limberg, Eden Barton and Bryce Barton; and her daughter-in-law Lori Barton of Streator.

Memorials may be directed to the St. Michael the Archangel Church or the American Alzheimer's Association.
