Matilda Joan Stasko Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Matilda Joan Stasko of Streator, Illinois, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on March 23, 2026 at the age of 101. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, John Sereg and Mary Sereg (Bakalar); her husband Fritz; and her siblings, Mike, Albert, George, Paul, Helen, Sophia Allison, Agnes Senko, Mary Trenshaw and Martha Roth.
She is survived by: her son Gary Stasko of Ames; her grandchildren, Laura Schoonover (Kelly), Kristine Wolfe (Adam) and Kevin Stasko (Lauren); her great grandchildren, Gibson, Theodore and Kaiser Wolfe; and her brother Nick Sereg of Streator.
Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
