He was predeceased by: his parents, George Treschak and Mary Treschak (Glencoe); his former wife Beatrice Plichta; his son Mark Treschak; and his sister Beverly Danko.
He is survived by: his wife Giovanna "Joan" Treschak; his children, Karen Karpati (Gyorgy), Cheryl Davis (Scott) and Craig Treschak (Debbie) of Streator; his stepchildren, Michael Murphy (Kate) of Michigan, Thomas Murphy (Shaun) of St. Charles, Martin Murphy (Mary) of St. Charles and Siobhan Elias (Kevin) of Streator; his grandchildren, Alexander Karpati, Bryan Davis, Bradley Davis, Brett Davis, Michael Buchanan, Melanie Baron, Natalie Lanoue and Stephanie Bowman; his stepgrandchildren, Gabe, Murphy Elias, Erin, Kathleen Murphy, Rebecca Luck, Thomas Murphy, Mackenzie, Michael and Brian Del Signore; his sister Norma Honn (Herb) of Normal; and his brothers-in-law, Eugene Plichta (Marge) of Streator and Donald Danko of Streator. He is also survived by 8 great grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews.
A rosary was held on Wednesday, August 20th 2025 at 8:45 AM at the Solon-Telford Funeral Home (301 S Park St, Streator, IL 61364). Visitation was held on Wednesday, August 20th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial was held on Wednesday, August 20th 2025 at 11:30 AM at the St. Michael the Archangel Parish Church (407 S Park St, Streator, IL 61364).
In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to the charity of the donor's choice.
