He was predeceased by: his father John R. Solon. He is survived by: his mother Kathryn "Kitty" Solon (Mack) of Streator; his wife Mary D. Solon of Streator; his stepchildren, James Sandy (Marla) of Wisconsin and Emily Telford (Rob) of Bloomington; his grandchildren, Cecilia Sandy and Owen Telford; and his siblings, Mary Solon-Goers (Steve) of Rockford, Jane Solon of Champaign, Jo Lightle (Dave) of Normal, Bart Solon (Meg) of Edwardsville, Ed Solon (Treacy) of Houston, Everett Solon (Dee) of Streator, Tony Solon (Jane) of Des Moines, Jerry Solon (Kris) of Germantown and Tom Solon (Mary Kay) of Omaha, Nebraska. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and great nieces and great nephews.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to the Patrick's pALS (his ALS foundation) or St. Vincent Depaul Society.
