With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Ronald Lester Deatsch of Streator, Illinois, born in Tiffin, Iowa, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on October 8, 2024 at the age of 91. He was predeceased by: his parents, Firman Deatsch and Martha Deatsch; his brothers, Firman (Betty), Elmer, William, Eugene and Ivan Deatsch; and his siblings-in-law, Shirley Deatsch and Konrad Gedler.
He is survived by: his wife Joann Margaret; his children, Debra Wolfe (Steve), Dale Deatsch (Martha) and Diane Cappis (Bruce); his grandsons, Jacob and Zachary Salata; his children, Kelly Deatsch-Robinson (Brad), Alison Deatsch (Zachary), Melissa Saitz (Frankie), Gregory (Jess), Jessica and Ryan Cappis; his great grandchildren, Jackson, Kendall, Emma, Layla, Caroline and Ryder; his siblings, Rosalie Gedler, John Deatsch and Judy Gilliam (Bill); and his sisters-in-law, Donna, Judy, Carolyn and Marita Deatsch.
