It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Wayne Eugene Thompson of Streator, Illinois, born in Magnolia, Illinois, who passed away on April 23, 2024, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. In the vast expanse of eternity, Wayne Eugene shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid Wayne Eugene farewell, his loved ones carry with them the precious gift of his memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Thompson and Mae Thompson (Hauger); his wife Carol J. Manfroi; his daughter Mary Jean Thompson; and his siblings, Joseph Thompson Jr. and Julia Biagioni.
He is survived by: his children, David Thompson (Paula), Brian Thompson (Jill), Sally Libby (Jack) and Janet Buchanan (Brian). He is also survived by 11 grandchildren; and 8 great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
