We announce the death of Mary Lee Taylor of Stronghurst, Illinois, born in Burlington, Iowa, who passed away on October 17, 2026, at the age of 97. Mary Lee will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. She is survived by: her husband Earl; her daughter-in-law Diana; her great grandchild Gabriella Zanger; her children, Craig Taylor and Debbie; her grandchildren, Wendy Ell, Brent Kennedy (Chris), Jade Parker (Dustin), Paige Leath (Quinn), Jace Taylor and Julianna Zanger (Jordan); her great grandchildren, Alec, Christian, Rowan, Londyn, Easton, Brooks, Brittyn, Paxton, Pierce, Taylor and Madison; and her pet Donnie. She is also survived by great-great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, October 22nd 2026 from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Banks & Beals Funeral Home (301 S Mary St, Stronghurst, IL 61480). A graveside service will be held on Friday, October 23rd 2026 at 1:00 PM at the Walnut Grove Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be given to Oakwood Estates Assisted Living Center in Stronghurst, or the Media Community Presbyterian Church.
