He is survived by: his wife Judy Mickey; his children, Renee Avery (Clinton Waddell) of Burlington, IA and Robert Lee Avery II (Tasha Bundy) of Stronghurst; his grandchildren, Gavin, Silas, Lexis Waddell and Reese Avery; and his sister Donna Pindell (Mike) of Stronghurst. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
A memorial has been established for his grandchildren's education.
