With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Herschel F. Tolley of Sublette, Illinois, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on October 3, 2025 at the age of 94. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his wife Minnie; his parents, Effie Tolley (Miller) and Roda Tolley; his siblings, Catherine, Raymond and Dorothy (Minnie); and his son-in-law Chris.
He is survived by: his children, David Tolley and Kathy Van Horn; his daughter-in-law Gail Tolley; his grandchildren, Jason Foster (Corey), Sarah Shanks (Peter), Nathan Tolley (Vicki), Bethany Kraeplin (Kurt) and Danny Turczyn; his great grandchildren, Becca, Jacob, Riley, Jaylin, Regan, Sydney, Cooper, Gavin, Jaxton, Eli and Ethan; and his great great grandchildren, Bradley and Braxton.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Mendota Elks Lodge #1212 to be used for The Elks Crippled Children's fund.
