It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Clara Jane Russell of Sullivan, Illinois, born in Decatur, Illinois, who passed away on December 19, 2020, at the age of 72, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Jeffie Coy and Virginia Clarine Gregory (Garmon). She is survived by: her husband Joe E. Russell of Sullivan; her children, Wesley Russell (Miko) of Mattoon, Cole Russell of Bethany, Shane Russell (Betty) of Sullivan, Tara Underwood (Jim) of Bethany, Jodi Gotts of Bethany, April Schumacher (Luke) of Sullivan and Valerie Hutchinson (Heath) of Bethany; and her siblings, Shorty Gregory (Judy) of Indiana, John Gregory (Carol) of Sullivan, Wayne Gregory (Paula) of Mississippi, Nell Meadows of Lyndon and Sue LeCrone of Sullivan. She is also survived by 17 grandchildren.

“Jane was a wonderful person. She was one of the sweetest, kindest person I’ve known. So glad we got to take the trip we did and so very glad I was able to take her to Decatur to get our nails done, to the cancer care for whatever needed and of course eating out. You were blessed to have had her for your mother and wife. I was definitely blessed to have had her for a friend. One thing I know is that she loved God and was ready to go. She’s dancing on the streets of gold just a smiling.🥰”
