He was predeceased by: his father Bill Puyear; his brother Larry Puyear; his uncle Dean Puyear; his aunt Janet Scheurich; his niece Christina Sanders; and his parents-in-law, Glenn and Fern Suhl.
He is survived by: his mother Cleo Puyear of Dalton City; his significant other Shirley Puyear (Suhl) of Sullivan; his sons, Michael Puyear (Miranda) of Casey and David Puyear of Sullivan; his grandchildren, Gracie Lang, Benson Puyear and Kamden Puyear; his brother Jim Puyear (Cyndi) of Jamestown, Missouri; and his brothers-in-law, Dale Suhl (Brenda) of Monticello and Cary Suhl (Debbie) of Sullivan. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
