He was predeceased by: his parents, Russell J. Woolen and Bertha M. Fuqua Woolen; his wife Betty L. Kitch; and his son-in-law Toby Shafer. He is survived by: his children, Mike Woolen (Marcia) of Sullivan, Cindy Shafer of Sullivan, Wayne Woolen (Debbie) of Sullivan and Vicki Allen (Tim) of Sullivan; and his brother Jasper Woolen of Decatur. He is also survived by eight grandchildren; thirteen great grandchildren.
