He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert L. Trussell and Maudie R. Meadows Trussell; his grandson Nicolas; and his brother Keith. He is survived by: his children, Stephanie Trussell of Georgia, Susan Meyer (T. J.) of Altamont, Robert Trussell (Brandy) of Sullivam, Ronald Trussell (Carrie) of Windsor and Timothy Trussell of Mattoon; and his brothers, Joel Trussell (Libby) of Bethany and Randall Trussell (Cathy) of Decatur. He is also survived by fourteen grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 4th 2026 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Reed Funeral Home (1112 S Hamilton St, Sullivan, IL 61951). A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, October 4th 2026 at 5:00 PM at the same location.
Memorials are suggested to the Boy Scouts.
