With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Richard Day of Sullivan, Illinois, born in Arthur, Illinois, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Richard left this world on October 7, 2025 at the age of 75, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
As we bid adieu to Richard's earthly form, let us not dwell on the void left in his wake, but rather celebrate the legacy of love and inspiration Richard has bequeathed us. For though he may have departed from our sight, his spirit remains a timeless beacon, guiding loved ones through the labyrinth of life's journey.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Archie Edward Day and Ida Juel Day. He is survived by: his wife Julie Day; and his daughter Brea Day.
Visitation will be held on Monday, October 13th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Reed Funeral Home (1112 S Hamilton St, Sullivan, IL 61951). A celebration of life will be held on Monday, October 13th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, Rich asked that memorials be directed to the Gary Sinise Foundation, Tunnel to Towers Foundation, or Wounded Warrior Project.
