Henry Bottema Obituary
We announce the death of Henry Bottema of Summer Hill, Illinois, who passed away on October 4, 2026, at the age of 88. Henry will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Mary Bottema and Mac Bottema; his children, Suzanne Boyd and Henry William Bottema Jr. (Billy); and his former wife Grace Bottema (Collins).
He is survived by: his girlfriend Janice Brummell Johns; his sister Sharon Wimer; and his children, Randy Boyd (Francis), Patricia Behrens, Stephen Likins (Mary), Cynthia Bottema, Mary Jennifer Code (Matthew), Celeste Ballinger Simmons (Chester) and David Bottema. He is also survived by fourteen grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 15th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Niebur Funeral Home (530 W Adams St, Pittsfield, IL 62363).
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Summer Hill Cemetery or Pike County Animal Shelter.
