He was loved and cherished by many people including: his spouse Margaret; his children, Jacqueline Frett (Daniel), Wayne Kurcz, Maureen Kurcz, Edward Kurcz (Lisa), Joseph Kurcz and Patrick Kurcz (Tracy); his grandchildren, Maureen Dehler (John Paul), Sean Frett (Greg McKay), Kara Kurcz Lee (Brian Lee), Margaret Kurcz Wiescinski (Marc), Shawna Kurcz, Ashley Lamm (Vince), Kate Farrell, Ryan Farrell, Margaret Farrell, Colleen Eannace (John), Edward Kurcz (Amy), Matthew Kurcz, Megan Kurcz, Thomas Kurcz (Alyssa), Allison Kurcz and Patrick Kurcz; his great grandchildren, Joseph, Gwendolyn, Myles, Frankie, Emersyn and Delaney; his siblings, Victoria Lewis, Terese Gilman, Amelia, Infanta and Maureen; and his sibling-in-law Betty Koran (late George).
