He was predeceased by: his parents, Jack McDowell and Cleo Jones (Groff); his wife Debra K. Frederick; and his brother Jack McDowell. He is survived by: his sons, Justin McDowell, Joshua McDowell and James McDowell; his grandchildren, Maddison Cooper, Allyssa McDowell and Trenton Jayne; and his sisters, Debbie McDowell, Grace McDowell and Carol Wells. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
