It is with great sadness that we announce the death of William L. Hasewinkle of Sumner, Illinois, born in West Salem, Illinois, who passed away on January 16, 2024, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by : his parents, Vernie Hasewinkle and Elsie Hasewinkle; his wife Carolyn Hasewinkle; his sisters, Imogene Bohrer, Helen Ehrhardt and Anna Hasewinkle; and his siblings-in-law, James Bohrer, Walter Ehrhardt and Nancy Smith.

He is survived by : his children, Becky Schrader (Lloyd) of Sumner, IL, Brenda Dickirson of Sumner, IL, Ralph Hasewinkle (Kristine) of Sumner, IL and Lisa Pampe (Brent) of Claremont, IL; his grandchildren, Scott Jackman (Mindee), Jeremy Jackman (Lynn), Kimberly Wirth (Bob), Jessica Harig (Joe), Amanda Carter (Brian), Loren Dickirson (Cheyenne Rader), Alec Hasewinkle (Autumn Leaf), Abigail Hasewinkle, Lianna Hasewinkle, Rachel Pampe, Isaac Pampe and Jacob Pampe; and his brother-in-law Paul Smith. He is also survived by 11 great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Board of World Missions of the Moravian Church in memory of William Hasewinkle or the Lawrence County Jr. Fair in memory of William Hasewinkle.
