With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Charles Gautcher of Sycamore, Illinois, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on July 16, 2025 at the age of 80. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Charles Gautcher to pay them a last tribute.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Lester Gautcher and Dorothy Gautcher (Shoop); and his siblings, Howard Smith, Robert Smith and Barbara Gautcher Rafferty.

He is survived by: his wife Dianne Perusse; his sons, Greg (Dana), Chad and Brett (Joanna); and his grandchildren, Jillian, Carys, Burke, Marin, Brooks and Charlee. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and a wide circle of friends.

Visitation will be held on Friday, July 25th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Butala Funeral Home (1405 Dekalb Ave, Sycamore, IL 60178). A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, October 4th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Gautcher Family Shop (326 N Sacramento St, Sycamore, IL 60178).

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Chuck's honor to Shriners Children's Chicago, a cause close to his heart.
