It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Maureen Harrison Looney of Sycamore, Illinois, born in Ames, Iowa, who passed away on August 31, 2025, at the age of 75, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Philip Harrison and Ruth Harrison (Zirbel). She is survived by: her husband Bernie (Hop); her daughters, Megan Looney of Chicago and Erin Chennell (Brian) of Elburn, IL; her grandsons, Eddie and Ollie; and her siblings, Tim Harrison, Terry Harrison (Cari) and Kathleen Kollinger (Peter). She is also survived by cousins, nieces, nephews, as well as great nieces and nephews.
She loved hosting song-filled parades around the house, creating puppet plays during COVID, playing hide and seek, and attending the boys' school events, soccer, and baseball games.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family (Bernie Looney) and will be established at a later date.
